10 years on deviantart- memories

OMG! I just realized that I'm on Deviantart for 10 years now! Time to celebrate! * cleans the corners of her gallery from the dust and spiderwebs*.

I joined the community in 2004, depressed because of my poor skills and also overwhelmed with the amazing artworks and famous artists from all over the world. I saw how much I had to improve to become at least half as good as people I admired at that time. It never happened though. Those amazing artists kept on getting better each time I made a step forward with my own skills, therefore, I could never reached them. I don't complain, they became my inspiration and the reason I never gave up. Many of them created amazing tutorials which helped me to learn new things.

Thanks to the constant support from my followers, their lovely comments, critique, and faves I started to believe in myself more. I could share my problems, my happy times, get hyper with other fans and talk freely about favourite characters, series, films, etc. I think that is what makes this community so amazing. I can't forget about the moments when I am able to meet some fellow deviantart users at local or foreign conventions (cheers to Japan Expo and London MCM expo participants ). The meetings are always memorable!

Even though Deviantart has changed a lot, I still find it the most comfortable place to share my artwork with you.  If only I had as much free time as I used to have in 2004- 2008... *sigh* (I  was a happy student and carefree Narutard).


Maybe not the first, but still one of the oldest drawings in my gallery- coloured with colour pencils and smudged in Corel Photopaint to get it smooth (I didn't know how to use Photoshop 8D).


As I said, I was a huge Naruto fan and Sasuke fangirl. I had more Sasuke fanarts in my gallery but they were so ugly that I deleted them a long time ago. Surprisingly, I still read Naruto and I have a soft spot for Sasu

My first full Photoshop drawing (Naruto again). Using the soft brush to shade thanks to one of shilin 's tutorial. I miss those times. I was so much into Gaara fandom and everyday I drooled over him with some fellow fans


Chibi Fruit Ninja Sasuke aka Pregnant Sasuke pic XD- the series crreated  during my trip to Radittz It received a lot of attention and sometimes it was a bit scary. Fortunately, most often people enjoy it and that's great!


The first image when I learnt how to appply textures. Also, it was when I started to be very productive and experimented with different colour schemes.
